I am interested in the bike below. I see it is not completely original. It has new hoods and cables and a new seat. The picture makes it hard to tell, I know, but do any of you guys think this is worth the money form what you can see? THANKS!

Edit: I can't get the link to work. If anyone is interested in pictures, it is on the Denver CL. Thanks!

If it's the one I see for $250, i would grab that in a second. Looks like it may even have brifters from the terrible photo haha.

Guy has had it for sale for a couple of weeks at least. If you want it, I would make an offer.

+1 Terrible picture, hard to tell how nice it is. Well worth a look.

Definitely the same Tange Prestige frame and color scheme as Amani576's bike. Yes, it's worth $250. Find out how "OEM" it is, as it came with Suntour and there could be compatibility problems, depending on what's left of the Suntour stuff.

+2 If it has original components, its a good deal. It's high up the Panasonic product line. I would get over there and look at it for sure.

Looks like a 1987 model, that came with nice Suntour Sprint 9000 components. Its really all about condition to me.

He sent me an email. The cranks are Suntour Sprint, the deraileur is Shimano 600 SIS, the brakes are Suntour Sprint and the bars are Sakae CT. I think I might go see it tomorrow and see the condition. Like I need another bike!!!

Looks pretty decent, needs tires, a good cleaning and the basics. Good luck!

It has a Tange #1 frame, so the price is right. Also it seems that the PO got tired with the Suntour indexing and put a better RD. That's a plus. Those pedals though... And I am not sure that a 6208 short cage RD will get into that big cog properly. I counted 32 teeth. Those were spec'd for 27 and can do 28, but that's about it... Just something to keep in mind.

You're lucky that bike is in Denver. If it was in Raleigh or Charlotte, it would be gone. Amazingly, it would re-appear in my basement. :innocent:
I've seen Amani576's Panasonic. I rank it as one of the top five C&V bikes I have seen in person. Absolutely beautiful.
