Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hi I'm looking for trails/paths that could put a BMX or hybrid to good use in the Bay Area. So far most of the trails I see on maps are street trails or concrete paths.

Lots of fire roads in Marin, but it sounds like you want something more technical. Look at the Norcal forum on MTBR.com.

Not necessarily fire roads are fine. Where is a good place to find a specific road?

Most of the dirt roads and trails managed by MROSD (mid-peninsula) are non-technical or mildly technical: www.openspace.org

Depends on the part of the bay. I live about a block away from Lake Chabot, and then there's also San Joaquin stuff by my school.

Perhaps the Plunge trail? Anyone been there lately? I know there is still that area not far from the pool that is set up for BMX. Also going down from top on Durham is fun.....that is if you don't crash.

Plenty of trails in pacifica and in the hills between pacifica and montara.

For Marin, the Golden Gate Recreation Area map is good.
