born Calgarians like any other NAmerican city residents have ingraved in their brains thet they cannot live where they work or very close,
look at Europe,
one of the questions at job interview in some European cities is where you live?
such question is not politically correct in NA merica?
OLD, OBSOLETE ZONING IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MUCHOF THE TRAFFIC in average NA city?
Zoning desn't allow for residents close or in industrial zones..
It ios mentality of 19century when industry was dirty and noise.
Now what is the reason for NO residential construction in the middle of office distric, where are office buildings and non-polutting, no noise buisnesses.
You should think how to eliminate travel doesn't metter by bike or car!!!!example
FIAT in Italy has apartment blocks just 1km from factory.

My guess is traffic planners and decision makers in Calgary dont read these forums - so - make an effort to attend these sessions and make your opinions and ideas known.

it goes beyond traffic planning.
NAmerica must start thinking out of the box as they say.
Why commute at all???????
Many people who rent would like to rent close to industrial park or inside industrial park, give them opportunity!!!
those condos could be closer to industrial parks - the thing is to ELIMINATE trafic no try to accomodate trafic.
No everybody want to have piece of propiety, land
