Just a real quick report. FULL report at PelotonStar before 10pm.
MJH2 (AKA "Speedy") schooled the 4's in sprinting today taking the "W" in style.

He's in blue and looks like he's behind at this point. Hey, they don't call him Speedy for nothing!
More pix of you Speedy, but wait until tomorrow night, I *MAY* have the photo line finish camera shot of this. :) I won't even have time to look for it until tomorrow though.
Then, there was Super Fly Recursive hanging out in the 3's race today trying out his new training philosophy: " Yo man, training? What ev .... if I feel like it, I train, dig? It's all good, you know? I don't even have a bike computer on my bike, man. My jersey say's 'Hincapie', what else do you want to know? Shiiiii ... " Well, it worked for him to the tune of 20th place today.

Then JPradun rocked the very fast Pro 1/2 race to FOURTH PLACE!
PROPS man, that's awesome. I've got the sprint foto of that finish too, and *MAY* have the finish line camera shot as well.
The whole story by the 10pm news tonight. More photos by Monday night.

A fine come from behind on the uphill finish it was. Pipped 'em at the line.
Good stuff!

It was a great day for a race and I didn't crash. Although there were a couple of early-season stupid moves, but everyone stayed up. Unlike the earlier race where that dude got the concussion. Ask cylowe what that looked like up close.
I had a pack finish, but I felt surprisingly good for only starting training a month ago.
Props to Matt, JPradun, and anyone else who kicked ass today.

Yeah, what's the scoop on the crash? I'll get a report in by morning, gotta dig up some good photos. Gonna take time. About the crash, I heard that the bunch went through that final turn really hot, one rider's rear wheel skipped a bit and sent him into a death wiggle, taking him out.

I heard Ajer took the P12? Who won the 3's?
I really wish my leg would figure itself out so I can start riding again. It kills me to not be out there.

John, he was all alone coming out of the final turn, unless I didn't see someone. I was just behind him and had the corner pretty much to myself. I saw him wiggle, his front wheel went sideways, and I went as far right as I could to go swing past, just missing getting caught. The rider went down hard and the last thing I saw from the corner of my eye was another guy plowing over him. I didn't look back.
Dave342 might be able to tell something of it. He came through there just after I did, but thankfully he missed it, too.

Yeah I came thru about that same time. It was to the right of me so I did not see it happen but sure heard it. Boy crashes are loud.

He was trucking on the uphill sprint to get there. And I know he was completely inspired with 20 meters to go when I yelled "GET IT, MATT!!!"
CyLowe! How'd you do bud?
Kept the rubber on the road and kept up with the pack until the last couple of corners. Success.

Full race report Matt!
I can cover that for him:
Go round and round the business park, avoid idiocy, sit in until the last lap and then sprint to glory.

First P/1/2 race and took 4th. It was close between 2nd-5th. I was 2nd wheel coming into the turn and 1st wheel as soon as we finished the turn. Too long for me to sprint uphill and into the wind, but I was feeling really good that whole race. Attack after attack and nothing hurt. I really wish I would have won my first P/1/2 race. That would be a story for the kids. 4th wasn't bad.
In the field: Jim Stemper & Chad Hartley (Kenda Pro Cycling) and 60 some other people, including 13 IS Corp. GDVC took 2nd (Dave Kay) and 4th (me), and it was Dan Ajer who won it.
It's like the people at my office don't know I won a damn bike race yesterday and should have today to celebrate...
Feels good to finally get one. Cyclowe pretty much nailed the report. I sat on the very back the entire time. I was a bit surprised that as many folks got dropped as did. Tried to move up with 3 to go, only to find myself at the back again. With a little over a lap to go I was resigned to having to try to sprint from the back. On the last lap, first little climb the field sat up and I popped to the front... muscled my way into about 4th wheel at the next turn. One guy slipped off the front and it took everything I had not to chase him- I surely would have in the past. We came through the final turn with the one guy a little off the front and I had 1 or 2 guys directly in front of me. I'd previously "measured" the speed limit sign as the spot to start the sprint, and was a little surprised that nobody else seemed to jump by that point. So, we hit the speed limit sign, I pulled out of line, shifted up a gear and mashed.
I closed on that guy at the front at a pretty good clip and neither one of us really knew who had it as we crossed the line. I honestly think that dude didn't know I was coming, as it looks like he never even threw the bike.
Wilke- I will pay you a decent sum for that finish cam pic in as high of a resolution as you can get it! And, of course, will be buying some of the others when I have a sec...

Wow! First Beverly Bob wins a race, now MJH2! The world is a much happier place.
Not surprised at MJH2 winning a sprint, even if it is uphill. Am surprised at him doing it at the end of a race. Congrats!
Ha, Carlosflanders... good stuff.
I think that Beverly Bob would even agree that if we can do it, anybody can.
