Put a DP on a R2.5. Wheel suggestions? Rolf, Bontrager, Shimano, or anything else? No Zipp or Mavic. Give me your imput!
Dura-Ace group? Can't go wrong with Dura-Ace wheels.
Any top-end wheelkit will give you great performance from that frame.

what kind of riding do you do? what are you looking for in the wheelset?
solid trainers you can run for 10k a year on rough roads? crit wheels? climbing wheels? what's your price range?

Ksyrium Elites pretty damn durable and plenty strong.

i don't know why you're anti-zipp and mavic, but you should consider the ksyrium ssc sl as well as the cosmic carbone.
the Ks are stiff, light wheels. great climbers all around, they feel like jackhammers on aluminum frames, but on carbon, it's a minty combination. try em out.
the cosmics are deep dish wheels and are not terribly light, but you see them on every pro bike cause they are awesomely fast. not climbers and not for rides where you're going to get a lot of crosswinds (coastlines, open fields, etc), but for everything else, they are fantastic.
the zipp 303 is along the same lines as the cosmic. a classic wheelset. lightweight, as well.
bontrager race x-lites may fit your description, quite well. solid wheel. not aero, decent weight, decent price, good enough for usps, etc.
i haven't ridden them, but those dura-ace 7800 wheels are just kinda... eh.
the new rolfs, i've never ridden them, but i'm hearing bad things.
spinergys, never.
handbuilts, try chris king hubs and ritchey wcs pro rims.
read my posting history for a big 2 page rant about wheels i made last week.

Nothing wrong with the SSC SL's. I ride an 04 pair. I might just throw those on. I am a 190lb rider. I am very muscular. I could shed 5 or 10 lbs. That would not hurt. Would you reccomend a R2.5 or a Soloist with 10 speed for the flat, windy but some hills roads in texas?

i've never ridden any cervelo, but i really, really want to try an R2.5 out. on paper, it looks like the perfect bike for me. occasionally, i'll see one out on a ride and i'll chat up the owner. everyone loves them.
they're asian-made frames, but all indicators point towards excellent quality and absolutely perfect design. cervelo seems to have produced a $3k bike that hangs with or beats american and italian setups costing twice as much.
the soloist is kind of a combination tt and road bike. i'd guess the handling is going be tighter, the frame heavier, slower climber and overall more prone to interference from cross winds and everything else that bikes with big aero tubes deal with.
if you're using it for all around riding, training, some climbing, etc, i'd be inclined to get the R2.5. again, it depends what you're after. is this your primary bike? what's your racing schedule like? lots of TTs?

No not alot of TT's. I do alot of crits. If i'm not doing crits Ill be riding around town. I love to do 100K's Alot. I need a FAST bicycle.

I also heard that the paint finish on the R2.5 is REALLY REALLY thin. I heard that on some occasions you could see glue at the joints. One occasion to where the Rear deiraillur*Spelled it wrong* Totally snapped off. THis is all 2004 models. The 2005 model is supposed to be 200grams lighter and more well rounded. What did the people say to you about thier R2.5's?

i think you have that wrong -
i believe the standard R2.5 is going to be similar for 05, but they are introducing the 2.5 "Bayonne" this fall. that's the 200g lighter version.
200g is almost half a pound, a lot to shave off a frame, but it's mega expensive.
the R2.5 Bayonne frameset alone goes for $4000 whereas the standard R2.5 built up with DA10 sells for $3900.
i'd be somewhat wary of a frame this light, were i paying for it myself. i'm sure it's a killer climber, but i'd be kind of afraid to ride it.
anyway - if you're not riding many TTs, i'd say the R2.5 makes more sense.

Yeah. Sounds good. I wonder if the R2.5 can take a beating.

and i don't recall any complaints regarding paint from the cervelo owners i've chatted with, but they were just informal chats during group rides.
there's a cervelo owners yahoo group here - http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/Cervelo/
that seems to be the best way to talk to owners of these bikes.

Good website. 4 grand for a frame. NO WAY! Would not even put that on a Colnago.

Do you know anything about Orbea Orcas? They are 4100 for the Jelly Belly Edition. THey have got to be a little cheaper w/ 10sp D-A. Let me know if you can. Thanks.

i know nothing about orbeas, other than they are sweet looking bikes.
my preferred LBS is an orbea dealer actually, but they rarely have them in stock for some reason. in fact, i've never seen an orbea frame in there other than the funny little compact bmx/dirt/street bike.
i'll ask about them next time. i'm kind of curious. i'd love to take one for a spin. wonder if they're actually made in spain, and if not, who makes em....

My LBS has to order the R2.5 because they accidently sold it. I asked if they will give me a bit of a discount. No? Well 'F' that. Can anybody point out some ALL CARBON bicycles with 10 speed DA? I got 4K to spend. HELP!
