Hello,

I am newbie to road cycling and I was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit about my starter bike. All I know is that it is a 10 speed Benotto Modello 800 with 700x20c wheels. I'm interested in knowing something about the history of this company but have had very little luck browsing the net. I've been riding the bike on a regular basis for the last two years and love it. It seems to fit just right and I like its retro look.

Depending on how old it is, here is a vintage lightweight discussion about Benotto's, which mentions the Modello by name. By sound of components hanging on it, must have been a decent brand. Disregard if you've already seen, as you did say you did some web searching...
