After building my first cross bike I'm frustrated with the braking, squealing and fork shudder. Too fiddly on the canti brakes for me.
I just got mini-v brakes and cross top levers and I hope this brings some sanity back to the bike. I read all I could so I pulled the trigger.
I'll be doing mainly commute and several cross races (noob) so I think the closer fit of the v will be fine. Heck, the bike is lighter than my roadie so this may take its place on the weekend hammerfest if it brakes solid!
