Just found this at the local Salvation Army. Didn't buy it but I might go back up and grab it. No pics but everything is original...it's a pretty cool color- I think it's salmon based on what I could find online....Sturmey Archer 3 Speed (dated 6/75), Weinmann brakes, original tires....just needs to be cleaned up. Tires and handlebars are a bit rusty but not too bad.
Went home and grabbed a pump.....went back in and pumped up the tires and took it outside for a spin. Brakes were not that great, but a cleanup of the rims might help, pads looked ok.
Felt like a more solid ride than my 70's Sears three speed I just got on the road, which I'm happy with (also paid $25 for plus $45 for a tune-up) but would it be worth it to pick this up? I'm just riding around with the kids and to work about a mile or so away.
I know it's only $25, but I don't want to start hoarding thrift store bikes that aren't worth it. It seems better made than the Sears and I think the components are.
