If you've checked mapmyride.com you've probably stumbled across one of my rides. I usually do the Roberts Ferry to Knights Ferry Loop. Its around 62+miles.

I recommend riding out of Modesto headed Eastbound to Knights Ferry through River Rd to Orange Blossom to Knights Ferry and back, include Woodard Reservoir if you want to add some mileage, Cemetery Rd, in Knights Ferry is always fun. 70% of the ride will be flat, the other 30% will be rolling hills.

I was going to suggest just parking somewhere around northeast Modesto and randomly riding around. It'll be easy and flat, no problem.

But then I realized that the roads aren't all the great so I don't think I want to do that to you because you're nice.

I frequently ride River Road from the Ripon area (I don't know if it's actually Ripon where I turn onto River) to McHenry before turning south. I know that my normal stretch of River Road is actually pretty decent road. Lot of room in the bike lane. Could do without the cow smell and bees though. As far as River Road goes east of McHenry, I've only ever driven it, but it looked about the same.

Hehe, That is my favorite part of my rides. Its like my cup of Folgers coffee. I have a weird habit, when I am out in the country side when nobody is around I ride by yelling at the calves, they get up and run away. I dunno why, I just do.

Thanks LoopyBunny (and Diegomayra, you are too funny)... I think the route we're riding does include River Road and then loops around somehow... Its been a while since I've don 40 miles so I wanted very flat :p

Hope you guys are all getting rides in today!!! :thumb:
