Mountain - Plains - Berryman Trail in MO

Anyone here ridden the 24 mile Berryman trail near Potosi MO? I'm wondering if the 24 miles is doable in a 7 to 8 hour day by casual MTB riders. My son and a friend want me to ride it with them next weekend. Not worried about myself, but they don't ride much. Thinking it might be a good idea to break it up into two shorter rides, with a rest in between.
Also posted in MTB forum.
Thanks

This is a great trail.... one of my favorites. As with all trails, please stay away if its wet... and we have had a ton of rain this Spring. As far as doing the whole trail with guys who dont ride much, its not an easy 24 miles so I would recommend maybe taking part of it one day and the other part the next. There is no water available on the trail so that might be an issue on a all day ride.
Here is the web site for the trail- http://www.gorctrails.com/trails/mberryman.asp
Thanks for the reply and info. It's been a while since my original post, and we have had rain for most weekends, so have not gotten to Berryman yet. I'm somewhat familiar with the trail from backpacking, and ultrarunning races at the St. Louis SLUGs events. But never biked on the trail.
Still hope to get there, so thanks again for the map and trail info.
