Cyclocross - 2009 Jake - is this a good price?

Hi all. I was in a LBS recently and they have some 2009 Kona Jakes priced at $699, and I think they may have one in my size. This seems like a really good price to me. I like the 2010 color much better than the 2009 red, but that's about the only difference I can see in them.
Is this as good a deal as it seems? If I do buy the Jake, it would be equipped with fenders and rack, and ridden mostly on pavement, with occasional light off road use. I don't currently have a mountain bike (at least one that fits me. I do have one for sale.) and this would also be used for local MTB trails from time to time, but I'm really not much of a MTB guy.
Buying this 'do it all' bike to use instead of a MTB is part of my justification, as I had planned to sell my ill-fitting Rockhopper (still do) and then buy another MTB.
All thoughts are welcome and appreciated.
They have a bunch of jakes going for 10% off list that makes them a little under $800 i think. If you can you should see if they have a Jake the Snake for sale. The bump up in specs is great. But the jake is a good bike too especially at that price.

There are no JTSs. One Kona dealer in town has no 2009 Jakes, and no 2010s for a couple weeks yet. The other has 2010s at MSRP, and 2009s at $699. They may have 2010 JTSs, but no 2009, so they would probably be at MSRP too.
JTS is a great bike, but more than I'm willing to spend unless it was greatly marked down.

We picked up a 2009 JTS with Dura-ace for my wife for $600 a few months ago. I personally would try to buy used and have a shop check it out.

$699 for an 09 Jake is not all that considering the bike normally sells for $799. An 09 Jake the Snake should be around the price maybe a little bit more. When I was shopping for cx bike 2 months ago I rode the Jake but going from Sora/Tiagra to the 105 on the JTS was a huge difference. Are you sold on the Kona or you still looking around for other options?

Really? Thanks for your input, but where is the JTS going for anywhere near that price? I would really like to know, because I would really like to go there and buy one.
Thanks again, but I've just not seen anything close to that on any searches or locally, so I'm curious. I would travel a decent distance to get a JTS at that price, or even a little more.
