I’m looking for info on the PA State Police Memorial Ride in Hershey this weekend beyond what is published on their web site.
Does anyone know the elevation gain for the Mt. Gretna and Fort Indiantown Gap Rides and the “hill loop”? I biked part of the Mt Gretna loop today and did not notice any new markings for the “hill loop”. Does anyone know the route for this extra loop?

Added in Edit (4-22-10):
The routes are marked as of 4:00pm 4-22-10. This year they painted the road for "Hill Loop". The "Hill Loop" deviation from the Mt. Gretna loop is marked in white and the letters are very large as you approach Butler Road.
The directions are as follows:
From West on Old Mine Road
1. Left onto Butler Rd (Enjoy the descent into Mt. Gretna)
2. Right onto Rt 117 or Mt. Gretna Rd (Watch the traffic)
3. Left onto Pinch (Only the first part of climb is somewhat steeps)
4. Right onto Camp Rd (easy)
5. Right onto Creek Rd (easy)
6. Right onto Colebrook Rd (Colebrook Rd changes name to Mt. Wilson at some point) (Some climbing on this road)
From Mapmyride.com the extra distance added to the overall Mt. Gretna loop is approximately 5.9 miles. The total loop is 8.9 miles, but one has to account for the portion of Old Mine Road that is not riden.
The assent is 361 ft and desent is -574 ft.
The hardest part of the whole loop is the very first part of Pinch Rd. It is fairly steep, but levels off a bit before a gradual climb. If you can make the first 0.25 miles you shouldn't have any problem from there.
