Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - I'm out...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I need to figure some things out. While I'm doing so, I need to minimize distractions. Hence, I'm going to be off the board for a while. If anyone needs to get ahold of me or wants to get together for a ride somewhere in Chicago, just drop me an email at david@davidrmunson.com.
Just wanted to give people a heads-up...
Hurry back! Also, wishing you well on your time away.

Dave - this Saturday, I'm thinking of riding. Just sort of tour the city and drop by places, sort of an urban adventure, chill here, there, talk ****e, the usual. Anyone else down?

Sounds good to me. What time are you thinking? I just want to take it easy and enjoy myself this weekend.
Noon-ish or earlier - head down to the Handlebar, grab some food and go look at records, drop by bike places, tool around, lake, photos, etc. Up for whatever, hanging out, riding a little, maxin' and relaxin'.

Actually Schiek - we have been very successful at arranging rides here in Chicago with a smaller group of peeps. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Once your "Marion's Special" supply runs dry...

well played.
we'll be doing thesis surveys at various locations this saturday - if you see us, please throw something at me (or provide me with alcoholic refreshment)
More surveys? Damn, this is like, karmic meeting or something, al5 and sig. other have survey = chicago riders getting together.
Anyhows, noon-ish, meet, go see 165 cry like the emo boy he is and then off for some grub. Tool around, hit record stores, go to the parks and terrorize rollerbladers and whatnot, maybe the beach to watch the volleyball tournament, whatever. Nice and easy.
Skitbra - you in?

I do want to see the finished product, what you've shown so far looked good. I've been thinking about having some more work done, but Schiek told me that lawyers with tattoo's don't go far.
Unfortunately, i have to skip the chaps convention this weekend, I'll be attending the Kenton National Coon Dog Trials (http://www.kentonnational.com/index.htm) outside lovely Kenton Ohio, a short jaunt from home and where i went to college. And no, I'm not joking, I'm really attending. Its a family thing, my dad and his brothers go every year. Lots of mullets, nascar hats, and beer being drunk from gallon milk jugs. There are a hundered ways to cover your redneck past...
I'll report back with some pictures of me exploring the place on the Lamester -- I'm hoping to find a nice old frame for cheap, the flea market is huge. I'll sucker you all into lunch some other time.
How tall are you s2sxiii? I've got an old raleigh that may need a home.

That's not necessarily true. They will have no problem with that sigma chi tat on your ankle.

Jeff, it's not like last time - much slower, much more tooling around I suspect than actual riding. Likd the movie Kids without the effed up parts. Or maybe.
nothing breaks up a ride more than kids getting cracked with skateboards.
have a good ride & a bbq seitan. jeff
