Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was about an hour too late the guy said. Maybe its a good thing though, because I would of had to spend a fortune on a new Campy group for it. But still...

I've got a friend in Watertown, NY (3 hrs away). I would have put him to the test to see how good of a friend he really is ;)
Hey Jish, that was a great deal... Not too many of those
I see you have a Miyata. Is that Miyata from the House of Wheels in Clarence?
Oh My! If I knew that this was there, I would have driven the 8 hours up there...

Probably bought by some highschool hipster kid who will turn it into a fixed conversion.

I can hear the angle grinder and belt sander now...
And somewhere, on the heights of mount olympus, the wrath of the bike gods is building toward a young hipster who has committed sacrilege.

Guys, let's not jump to conclusions.
This is how I pick up a fair share of my acquisitions.
People do put some crazy prices on nice bikes/framesets.
For example, I purchased this frame for not that much more than the Gios.

This is what it turned into:

Let's hope for the best!!!!

I actually do think its better off in other hands, it would have been a looooooooooooong time before I could put money into acquiring a group for it. And then theres the wife, she would be fine with the 75 dollar frame, but would never, never be kosher with the other expenses.

Wow, too bad! It looks like the one I saw up in Milwaukee(not the same was red) a few months ago, but red and more tattered. Gios is the only one! Sorry for the loss.
Cheers,

Thanks Aaron!
We started the build last fall.
Finished and delivered for Valentines Day.
I can't catch her anymore when she rides this little hot rod.
She's still racing this summer, so I have a small excuse. :)
