I was gonna do the 70 mile out-and-back from Boulder up hwy 36 to Lyons, then climb CO-7 and CO-72 to Ward -- the middle of the p2p hwy -- but around mile 25, I got frustrated with my new bib shorts... way too much padding. My feet and hands started going numb trying to compensate for littleOpie's suffering. So I only snapped a 7-8 pics on the way back.
But cutting my ride short wasn't all bad. I met a very cool lady, Deb, who owns the bike shop in the Vail/Beaver Creek Ski resort. She got a nasty nail thru her tire that took a chunk out of her rim. I was at the end of my ride, so I got my truck and drove her back to her car. She was up (over?) for the weekend rooting on some friends doing a race today. Being the owner of the shop, she had a sweet T-Mobile Giant bike that weighed as much as a helium balloon :D
Okay, enough rambling, on to the porn...
