New to the forum but have been reading for a bit. Recently purchased a Specialized Sirrus. Am trying to figure out what to do w/the grips and pedals. Not too good for a beautiful 1! Any others from the NE burbs?
Tks,

Welcome! There is a fairly active number of folks from the "cities." I used to live out in Jordan, Belle Plaine, & Montgomery areas.

You son of a gun are now in Hilo? How does one make that happen??? (After the fabulous Fall of course!)

It's the only place in the country where I got a (temporary) job offer this spring. Hope to be moving back North in a year or two when this project is done and I can get another offer. In the meantime it's a different experience and a change of scenery. As towns go, Hilo's a notch less exciting than Duluth or La Crosse. After living in MSP, Denver and wild college towns it's hard to get used to living in a town that shuts up at 7PM. We are seriously in need of at least one (please?) good non-chain coffee shop here. At least I'll get to experience Hilo before the baby boomer retirees arrive in droves and change everything.

Speaking of changing everything, I lived in Vadnais just before it boomed and got plowed up for tacky suburban housing and big-box stores. It was a nice quiet area back then.

That's so saaddd. 7 pm? St. Paul doesn't close until at least 9pm! I guess it would get a little buggy tho! Vadnais is a loverly track of housing now-with a couple of wild spots hear and there (St. Paul needs its drinkin water doncha know)! :0
