Northern California - thursday after work ride

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Are we lucky or what. Got home from work jumped on the bike. Left my house in Cupertino around 5:30. Went thru Los Altos hills neighborhoods up to Foothill College, then rode up Moody road which was beautiful with all the trees and growth and very few cars. Short downhill on Page Mill to Altamont. Down Altamont back to Foothill and down Summerhill and back around the Los Altos CC to Foothill Expressway and home. It was so enjoyable and I am so happy to have such a great area to ride. I only wish I could get out more.

Yep, we're a lucky bunch. I try for 3 sometimes 4 after work rides during the week. Several of these are group rides. Some are solo. And then if I'm really lucky, one might be on the MTB.

Lucky is the word. I get off work at 4 and live close to home. By 4:34 I was on the bike. I got in an out and back to the summit of Mt. Diablo and made it home at the very tail end of twilight.
42 miles, 4000 feet of climbing. On a work night? Gotta love Spring.

Good job...I was on Diablo NGR yesterday as well, but only went to the junction. This week the legs are not as good...
