Road Cycling - thank god for a road bike (and cycling in general)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i've been riding my road bike into work alot lately...3-4 times a week and my car usage has dropped down considerably. anyways, i was driving home from work on friday, all the sudden i hear the dreaded clank clank clank from the engine....i got rodknock. for those of you non-auto gurus, just think of it as something very very horrible and expensive to fix. anyways, thanks to cycling, the transition won't be too horrible. so i have to get up 5-10 min earlier than driving in, but i can just wisk through rush hour traffic, and take a shower in the same time it takes me to just drive to work. :D

:) hope you don't drive a BMW. Our refab engines cost 35 grand ;) for most of them.

$35,000 for a rebuilt engine? Hope you get lots of KY with that. ;) Sucks to have car trouble MelloBoy, but at least you will get to ride more!
