Sorry, my bad. Odyssey & SST both make detanglers in 1" and 1 1/8". Either are excellent. The GTX-R is the best of the detanglers available, but pricey.
The thing that looks like a lock nut between the plates, is in fact a lock nut. The photo is a STOCK photo from Odyssey and both photos (1" and 1 1/8") use the same photo of a 1" detangler. The 1 1/8" detangler will not have that nut in between. That nut is strictly part of your HEADSET and would not come with any detangler.
Your detangler should include:
Upper plate
Middle piece (detangler)
Lower plate
Maybe brake cables, depending on which one you buy.
That's all it'll come with, the rest is determined by your bike.

Some FRAMES have a welded lower gyro plate, and some stems have built in or attachable upper plates.
But ALL Gyros and Orygs ship with an upper and a lower plate anyway.

What doesn't fit? That makes no sense. You don't use the lower plate that comes with the gyro, you just use the ones on your bike, then use a gyro cable.
If the lower gyro cable doesn't fit through the tabs on your bike, then get a new gyro cable or london mod setup and do it that way.

ok the chrome part (srry i dont know much about gyros), when i put the chrome part on its too wide to fit with the lower welded on gyro tabs, ill screw the cables up there and the chrome part is too wide too work, because its an xl, ill just get a smaller one, no biggy

If your frame is 1" then that would be the only issue. Usually it is really hard to get in place lower cables though because the gyro plate is disigned to pull the cables onto the gyro. Otherwise, the XL is 1 1/8", not bigger or different than the other ones at all.

Are you having a hard time getting the lower cable knobs in to the rotor (Gyro)? If so than just unhook your brakes or have someone squeeze them closed for slack.

nah, i just decided to get a gyro that fits, im pretty sure the gyro xl is meant for bikes without lower welded on gyro tabs, no problem though, ill be goin to my bike shop anytime now to get the parts i ordered, i think thats the best way to go, order all the parts at ur local bike shop and u dont have to pay for shipping
