Okay, here's a question for ya's. On both my Sidis (the Dynamic IIIs) and my Performance Primos (both of which have two velcro straps and no ratchets), the tongues have holes punched in the top of the tongues where they rest against the ankle.
I've been trying to figure out what these are for. Are they just for looks, or...?
The only thing I can figure is that they're for shoelaces to be threaded through and then tied around the bottom of the sole (or looped over to the ouside and tied there to prevents accidents with the chain). This acts as a low-budget, jury-rigged version of the fancy shmancy ratchet-thingies. Surely this isn't right. But I have the Primos on my feet right now rigged up like that, and it seems to work (I won't ride in these 'cause they're WAY too tight). I may give it a try Tuesday if noone counters...

Thanks,
Cole

The idea of laces on any two wheel contraption scares me. Okay, not really, but I won't use laces whenever possible. Plus, I'd think the laces would put unusual pressure on nerves and/or veins?
