Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Can anyone ID this late 1980's Bianchi track frame?

Mainly I'm just interested in what year it is. It has an Italian threaded BB, and the stampings on the BB shell read Bianchi, 53 (Thats the size, it's def. a 53cm bike), and C.600. There is no model name, it's lugged steel made in Italy frame. It has the 1986-1987 world championship stickers on it so it's at least an '87 unless it was produced using a time machine. The frame tubing stickers read "Tubi Rinforzati / Formula One / Bianchi / Cromo Molibdeno/ Produzione Columbus" It has chrome Gipiemme track dropouts in the rear. Looks the the entire frame is chrome under the paint maybe? Haven't weighed it yet but it feels really light for steel and the tubing feels pretty thin. It also came with a set of 165mm polished aluminum cranks with a Bianchi logo.

Anyone have any idea on the year, model or any other interesting info?

My guess is '87. Does it have any Piaggio decals?

Also, those cranks were made by Ofmega specifically for this bike. This is a special bike...treat it well.

Thanks for the info on the cranks. No Piaggio decals. I'm not going to make it into some wannabe hipster fixie. I'm investigating some reproduction decals at the moment, so I can look into repainting it.

That makes it almost guaranteed to be an '87, as an '86 would have had Piaggio decals and I believe the graphics were changed for '88.

I'm building up a similar bike...as you can probably tell, I'm partial to the brand.

You realize that repainting it will more or less hose the value of your bike?

A bike is only original once.
