Ask around at bike shops near you if others are looking for riding companions. Maybe the folks at Metroplan Orlando (http://www.metroplanorlando.com/site/modes/bicycle.asp) can help pair you up with someone too.

Give some thought to joining the Florida Freewheelers. They have a lot of organized rides and I am sure some of them are in your area. The cost is 25 dollars per year and for that you get a news letter every two months advertising the rides plus you get 10% discount at most bike shops so you can recover your 25 dollars pretty fast. I will try to attach las months news letter in this thread for you to look at. The club has over 600 members and spans all ages and riding ability. The Cady Way trail runs just behind the Florida mall and that would be a good place to meet riders. The Free Wheelers sponsor the Horrible Hundred and the Florida Safari every year. Both are good events.
