General Cycling Discussion - Would you ride more to pay less for car insurance?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I participate in internet surveys, and the latest one had to do with auto insurance. The proposal was that if car insurance rates were based on the number of miles you drove each year, would you actively try to decrease your driving mileage in order to get a bigger discount?

I know I would. The savings on insurance would mean more cash for bike stuff.

perhaps, one way or another but we do a moderate amount of recreational driving. that's probably where I would make my cuts vs. riding my bike more as a means to get from A to B
