Early this week, I ran across a 2005 Trek Calypso in very good shape, mostly original. I paid $40 for it. But when I got it home, I found that the bike had been converted to electric, and that the big hub on the front wheel was a BMC electric motor. The electric system was tie wrapped in, and did not come with the expensive batteries.
I want to convert it back to just a pedal powered bike, but I have no idea what to do with the front wheel, the throttle (the face of it is broken), and the control module. I do not have the batteries to test it.
