Northern California - Saturday Big-Basin HWY 9 ride

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Departing tomorrow from Holmstead/Foothill Peet's Coffee and 9AM.
Route is: http://ridewithgps.com/trips/8100
80m/8k climbing. Option to throw in Montebello at the end to make it "epic" or 10k climbing.
Moderate pace with frequent regroups; i.e. we climb at different speeds, but generally will wait at the top. :innocent:
No christmas tree traffic, nice back roads, good weather, nice climbs... what's not to love?

How long do you think this will take?
Dunno. I hope to be home by 5pm, and I'm a 20min ride to start. You're welcome to like, ride up 9 with us and they turn back a certain time, or head off the front if the group is too slow.
Ride time for me, for this route, would be like 5:30, but that's without the regrouping.
you need to subtract the ~10 miles from the route since the ride starts at Foothill and not Lawrence. Anyway, I was hoping to finish more like 3-4pm plus whatever it takes to ride home.

The 80 miles is from my house. It will be a little nicer this time, as we won't have to be battling the christmas tree farm traffic.
The route from Ron's place is the same distance as from my place. I fully intend to add Montebello at the end for the 3rd 10k climbing weekend in a row.

Have fun guys. A friend pinged me about hitting up hills on other two wheel bike in the afternoon, so I am going to do something short 60 mile ish in the morning.
