I'm looking for recommended routing to go from Washington-on-the-brazos to Katy. We are interested more in safety than scenery.
Thanks,
Bob
I would suggest the MS150 route going to Bellville via FM529. FM529 has no shoulder but generally pretty light traffic. Then from Bellville you can take FM1456 N to FM1371 N. Once you near HWY 290, stay on FM1371 headed west to Chappell Hill. Then go north of FM1155 which eventually winds around to FM912 which goes into the park. I have ridden these roads and would definitely take this route again.

Anyone who enjoys long distance riding (non competitive but there is a time restriction) should consider joining.

Incase you didn't know, Brookshire to Katy is an easy ride straight down hwy 90 with plenty of shoulder.
