Sorry if this has been discussed previously, I did not find it anywhere.
No matter where I put my mouse pointer on the screen there is always a little preview window of a post popping up. It gets a little aggravating sometimes trying to move the pointer off the entire window and then back when you are trying to scan thru a bunch of post titles. Not suggesting turning it off entirely but if there's a way in my control panel to turn it off I'd appreciate it if someone could point me to it. Thanks.

Nope, but I can shorten the amount of text shown for all users.

Please don't make any changes just because of my question.....I was just curious. I just thought maybe there was a way to turn it off/on, on an individual basis. Thanks Joe.

I normally don't respond to year-old threads, but I'd second a motion for a "turn-it-off" button. The preview box is invariably in the way and does not disappear quickly enough when I move the mouse away. I thought perhaps I could block it with a userContent.css rule, but a quick glance through the page source didn't quickly reveal how it's done and my HTML is not so good... ;-)
Cheers!

I am not sure what you are referring to?

I like the preview boxes.

At least in safari, hitting a key like left or right arrow hides your pointer, which makes those happy little previews go away. Haven't tried it in firefox yet.

Seems to work in FireFox under Solaris. I'll have to try Safari when I get home. Still annoying though, as that means one hand on the keyboard and one on the mouse while surfing, which is not a habit I'm in.
They wouldn't be so annoying if they only popped up on mouseover on the text of the link, but they seem to pop up with the cursor nearly anywhere on the entire line. They even persist when I click a link and go to a thread, obscuring part of the text on the new page. Very irritating.....
I like them too.
X2.
I am a fan of them, saves loading time. No need to open every thread.

1. Make sure you have a mouse with a scroll wheel.
2. Move the cursor to the far left or far right of the screen.
3. Read the thread titles without any preview popups.
4. Use scroll wheel to move up/down the page as needed.
5. If you don't have a scroll wheel, just put your cursor on/near the scroll bar on the right, and move it as needed.
