Hello out there to all the people on the interweb,
Towards the end of last year, somewhat unexpectedly, the biking "bug" bit me and I decided to get into things in a fairly serious way. So I spent a few months researching and test riding several different bikes and finally got my hands on a new road bike in January. It's a Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5 and it is SA-WEEET! (imho)
When I wanted to start learning about biking, I found the collective wisdom on this site to be one of the most useful resources around and I hope that I can make some positive contributions too.
At this point my rides have been mostly limited to weekend mornings, but the weird thing is I'm actually ENJOYING getting up at 5:00 AM to go ride. I've never been a morning person but I can feel myself being converted more and more every week. I have some goals for long-distance rides this year and I feel like having these goals and being able to see some of my own improvement in the past few months has made me feel more motivated in other areas of my life too. All is good, and getting better.
