Cyclocross - Bianchi Cross Concept

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm looking seriously at a Bianchi CC but have a couple questions. First. I'm about 5'10" but have a 32" inseam and am wondering if I should get the 55 or the 58 (I'm going to use the bike principally as a road bike, w/ a little off-road). I like the general comfort/geometry of the larger bike although it may be less than ideal for serious off-roading. Any thoughts? Any other thoughts/comments on alternative X bikes for consideration would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Sizing for 'cross bikes has been a very common post over the past few weeks - search this forum for details. Briefly, 'cross frames tend to run a bit big due to the increased height of the bottom bracket (for clearing obstacles). Most people on the forum have recommended trying one size smaller in a cross-specific frame as compared to a regular road bike. For example, I ride a 52cm road bike, but a 52cm cross-specific frame is way too big (standover is too high and top tube is too long). I ride a 49cm Bianchi Axis, which fits me well. Good luck.

i'm about the exact same size and was fitted for a 55 axis. i'd bet a 58 is too big.
Dude, with the money that you're spending for the Bianchi CC you could have a better bike. And from what I was told by other members here, the material that bike is made out of is not as durable as aluminum even.
