In 2002 a friend asked me to ride the 5 boro tour. I had not ridden a bike in 20 years but I bought a Giant Rincon and became instantly addicted! Soon I was participating in longer rides. When I signed up for a weekend (280 mile) ride I bought a Giant OCR 1. For the money I spent I was thrilled with how it performed on that ride and all the others.
Sadly, just as I started riding well I got very sick. It's been five years since I rode either bike...
But, I'm back! :thumb: My MD finally cleared me to ride (with restrictions) and I've been adding more and more miles on my Rincon. I may not be able to do centuries, or even metric centuries, again but just to be able to ride at all feels amazing!
I look forward to reading about your riding adventures, and sharing some of my own, in the future.
