Framebuilders - Who makes a good affordable Titanium Frame?

Looking to get a Titanium Frame instead of the Carbon I've been riding.

Who makes a good affordable frame out of titanium. Looking for something besides Moots, Litespeed, Lynskey, etc......

The owner Mark was quite regular on rec.bicycles.tech when I was a regular reader.

Lots of doubters about a Ti frame at that cost, form China, etc., but the worst review I ever read from an actual purchaser of the bike was that the dropouts and oversized tubes in the rear triangle looked clunky and inelegant.

Zinn Cycles build exquisite custom Titanium as well as Magnesium and Steel frames. If you're hard to fit (and at 6'6 and 275lbs - I qualify) - these guys are the specialists.

Built me a unbelivably good custom Titanium frame and I still pinch myself everytime I get on it.

I got my Dean "El Diente" frame on CL, an '05. Had it built up with all new components; Ultegra 6600, Alpha Q carbon fork, Easton carbon stem, seatpost and bars - ended up at about $2000. I would watch ebay and CL for a good condition frame, Titanium is pretty solid. I am awaiting shipment of my Habanero MTB frame - we'll see, great price though. Not sure if all Titanium bikes are like this but they don't clear coat so all decals can be replaced, my Dean had a faded decal on it and will look as good as new soon.

There are so many great frame builders who work with ti. But it is an expensive material and few new frames are what I consider affordable.

I've bought two used ti frames on eBay - a Seven and a Carl Strong. The Seven was almost new with top end components that I got for about 1/3 the price of the equivalent new bike. The Strong was older and had been ridden hard. I've upgraded a lot of components (new ti seatpost, cassette, brifters, seat, S&S couplers). Even with all those upgrades I've spent about the price of a new Strong frame. Both bikes are fantastic.

I believe that my success buying used bikes is that I have been professionally fitted and know what geometry works for me. If it doesn't fit, it isn't affordable even if it is free!

Those Pride frames look pretty nice and they can paint the frame any color imaginable from what I saw. What I can't seem to figure out is if their frames include a fork or not for the price.

I'd be willing to bet that they don't. Even so, a very good price, and good geometry in the bigger sizes (which many, if not most, mfrs STILL can't figure out...)

The price is for a frame, not a frame and fork. I agree with Bobbycorno, it's a very good price and the stock geometries are pretty good, I only had to tweak a couple of dimensions to get a perfect fit (customisation cost me $0 BTW)

Plenty of cheap forks out there. Since I consider anything made of carbon to be disposable, I bought a Cinelli fork on closeout from the UK for $150 and am very happy with the combination.
