The raleigh says superBee and has a locking front fork, any Idea what the year of this bike might be? The blue one is a CCM Rambler, any idea how old this would be? Both just showed up the other day at the house. Someone dropped them off :D

The Raleigh is a 'Superbe', not 'Superbee' ;) It's probably a late '60s - early '70s model. You do know the front forks are bent, right?

Didnt look that close but ya your right. Closer look shows someone tried to get past the lock and bent them. [forks] I wonder if I put a little heat to the steer tube I could straghten it out. Like to make her shine again.

I wouldn't trust any part of a frame thats been heated and bent... its going to be weaker and a weak fork is the last thing I would want!

I've got a soft spot (on top of my head, the wife says) for old Raleighs too, but I think this one would just break your heart and bank account. Hold out for one that still has the original Brooks saddle, or a Dynohub, or at least one with straight running gear. They're out there, hanging from dusty garage rafters, just waiting for you...

On the Superbe, the year of manufacture is usually stamped on the Sturmey-Archer rear hub. I'd get the forks straightened by someone who knows what they're doing. These bikes sell for a couple hundred bucks on Ebay when they're all shined up.
Just from the looks of it it, I'd say the CCM was a mid-sixties model. You can try contacting the manufacturer at www.procycle.com , they may be able to give you some info.

I doubt anyone bent the fork by trying to defeat the lock, most likely someone crashed it. If they were trying to break the lock, they probably would twist the fork, not push straight back. It's bent pretty badly, you should check the underside of the downtube for kinks. also check to see if the cup and cone of the lower headset assembly run parallel. if they don't, you're steerer tube is probably bent, and you're probably looking at a new for at the least.
