Mountain Biking - Retro Yeti FRO

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
To combat the recent full suspension bikes that Fuby has been posting (hehe, not that I've got anything against them :)), I thought I'd post this fully rigid Yeti from the early 90's.
It's a great photo, and for me, encompasses that raw bike design that made Yeti bikes, the most wanted the world over.
I give you, the Yeti FRO!
Naturally, I'm with you on this issue, having no plans to replace my 1988 Schwinn KOM-10.

To think that one day the Orange Patriot will be retro is wierd.
Nope, that's not flicking my switch..now, where is it...erm.....oh, here we go
Ooooooooh ho ho hooooooooo.......
Rich, I remember when they were reviewed as new !! The Accutrax fork is almost exactly the same as the Kona Project 2s on my Dave Yates except the Proj 2s are in the process of being turned sky blue in Newcastle at the moment :).
Fuby...I shall not be out done!!!! :D Check this Yeti ARC!

Hi Astra,
I was seriously considering P2 forks for my Kona...they should look pretty wicked in sky blue!!! :)
When do you think you'll have Yatesy built up?
Rich
Well... I've had a back wheel built and I need to get the PACE front hub built into a wheel. At that point I'll have wheels, stem and bars and seatpost and seat so I'll basically need B/B, cranks, derailleurs, shifters, pedals, brake levers and rear V-brakes - EEK  .
Probably finish it by end of August :( .

I'd buy that bike if it was sold today. I love the XT thumb shifters and the forks.

Did you guys notice the twisted spokes on the front wheel of the Klein? I'd say BONUS Points for that pic. Fubey, you better come up with something good to beat that!!!!

they're both harbingers of a mis-spent youth. I am absolutely gassed about the Intense, never thought a 36-pound bike could be so much fun. And yes, I do ride it uphill. The King 20mm hub for the front should be here next week and it will be complete. yee haw

Is that a custom mod on the brakes being attached to the fork or is that standard ?
Seth
Hi Warren,
Are you talking about the Pace? If so, they're Magura brakes (the original) that are mounted on the reverse side of the forks to improve braking efficency.
Rich
Well, I guess we can have a truce Rich....But I get the last word! Muahahahahahaaaaaaaa!!!
