BMX - bike for grandson 8ys

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just went through this same quest. After quite a bit of research, I decided to get a name-brand complete bike with a 100% chromoly frame (a 2008 Hoffman Dekko AL). I believe all three of the bikes on your list are pretty good bikes, but none of them has a 100% chromoly frame. (One of the things I have learned is that "all chromoly main frame" means the seat stays and chain stays are not chromoly.:)) IMHO, the specific model of the bike is more important than the year. Look for closeouts, left-overs, etc. If I had not found a new complete bike within my budget, I would have sought a clean, used bike with a 100% chromoly frame. EVERYONE rides a used bike. ;) Hope this helps.

I recently owned an Haro X-03, I wouldnt buy one newer than 07, as the newest ones are junk.
100 chromoly frames are pricey, yet worth it. Id get a Redline, or take a look at the Dirty brand, nice price, good parts.
where are ya, I can take a look for something close to ya.

I havent found any reviews either, but their frames are awsome, all kinds of refinements, and the parts list isnt that bad either, especially for only 119 pounds..
my pick
Dirty Grease Monkey £119.99
