Anyone ever use these?

I was thinking those and some trigger shifters would make my Sirrus a lot comfier for over 10 miles... Wrap them with some good bar tape....Might just keep my grip shifters if I could get them on.

I wish they had black though, would match my bike better haha

They are silver in the pics. The tape is black. They do look interesting, however.

Those look a more functional than bar ends. Like a play on butterfly bars. But I wonder if clamping down on the "horns" would mean leaning too far forward to be comfortable.

I don't want to lose my Ergon Grips. (GP-1). They really help my wrists and hands, and I like the adjustability provided by slightly swept riser bars. I guess I'm looking for the best of all worlds, as I know my back won't take the drops (or hoods) for a long time.

I'm also looking into some bolt on mini drops (Origin 8) to get more hand positions. With them, I can still have bar ends.

I'll probably wrap both bar ends, and Origin 8 drops with padded tape (lots of it).

p.s. You'll like the trigger shifters way better......

It looks like the Scott bars, I know they had several different models: 2, 3, 4. The larger the number it the more it around in a circle. I think the one like that looks great.

Are the Scott bars still available anywhere? I saw a link to the bikepro.com site in another thread and I would love to try the Scott AT-4 Pro handlebars. Other than listings for iPhone and iPod repairs that website seems to be lost in the 1990's though with no contact information, no ordering links, and mostly products that have not been made in a decade. I fear the Scott bars are long gone.

The Delta bars look interesting too though.

It would work. You'd probably want a shorter stem. My Sirrus came with something like a 130mm stem. I put similar bars to those on mine, and a shorter stem (80mm, I think). It worked fine with the flat-bar brake levers and shifters the bike came with, mounted on the flats.

I've since changed it to drop bars, but that's another story.

They're silver wrapped in black bar tape.

The other picture from their site kinda shows the bar mounted so that the "bar end" area is actually pointing up a bit. When I had my road bike, I loved riding on the hoods, but the rest of the road bike was no fun. I'm deciding between these bars, or just getting some bar ends on my bike. I have some cheap "L" bend bar ends I might just bolt on and try for now...But those bars look interesting at least :)

You could always change your handlebars.

My Felt came with their Albert bar, which appears to be a Mary style bar. I thought I would change it, but I really like it a lot. Google "mary handlebars" for pics.

Lots of people seem to like the trekking style bars on their hybrids too. They look interesting but I've not tried them.

Bar ends would be cheaper and easier, but in the end, maybe a different style of handlebar would work better?

I moved from bar ends to trekking bars and haven't looked back. Interestingly enough the trekking bars (from Harris Bicycles) ended up being cheaper AND easier to install then the bar ends.

Another positive thing about trekking/butterfly bars is that you probably wouldn't need a shorter stem.
