i doubt that one of his goals is simplicity.

i've seen that guy in boston before. pretty crazy. i think after about 50 feet, my neck would really start to be strained.

with the chain up high like that - it looks like you'd get pretty flithy riding it, no? i don't even have to get within 10 feet of my chain and somehow i always get a nice grease strip on my leg.

...as if I don't already do stupid things that can kill me on two wheels. But then again, why not?

what a completely useless idea.

maybe once as a fun hack - but it looks like this guy has built a handful of these things.

Well, I wouldn't be so harsh. Its nifty, just not marketable.

The one with the front and rear steering capabilities reminded me a lot of the car in the video found here:

Worth checking out, at least in my opinion. 14.1MB

there's a guy who has a bike here that works on the same principal as that car - but unlike the bike above you still ride it straight, it's just that it's three pieces: the front wheel/fork/bars, the center frame assembly, and the rear wheel/frame/drivetrain. it's really awesome watching him ride it. he does all kinds of silly tricks like riding the front on the curb while riding the rear on the street going parallel the whole time.

Although I don't like the idea of having lumber holding my onto the bike like that. Could you imagine if you fell backwards? Ouch!

That "bike" is the stupiest thing I have ever seen. Wow. That thing really sucks. A lot. Please be ashamed

I think the guy who made them should be applauded for just trying something new. Who knows, he may just be doing this for fun. Granted this isn't any type of fun I want to be involved with, but thats just me. But he may also just be a kook who is under the influence of excessive moustache.
