I came across the Cinelli Carbon Bar/Stem in the Colorado Cyclist. It sells for $469.99 It's constructed of full carbon fiber monocoque. The ad states " superior stiffness and advanced road dampning."From the looks of the ad it seems as though you can run the wires through -- just like the integrated sets. My overall question is -- would this be a good upgrade in bars? I'm not in desperate need as the bike is brand new -- C'dale R2000 -- CAAD4 -- Ultegra -- I haven't used yet. I was curious because living in NYC we don't just have pot holes we haves Trenches! Some roads are REALLY rough! IMy concern was to cut back on the road vibrations. Or is this too much of an update (in the future) for a CAAD4? Any input or advice will be appreciated. Jeannie

Road Warrior,

I don't know, seems awfully expensive to me.
Don't know how much is hype and how much
is fact about the integrated setup.
But knowing Cinelli, its probably good.
FWIW, if I needed additional damping I'd look
into the Easton carbon fiber bars for about 1/4th
the price. You still have your choice of stems,
and could use your current stem.
again just my $.02 worth.
