Hi there, I'm considering a Yuba Mundo. I'm wondering if it is very heavy and hard to ride? I seem to see conflicting information. I'm looking to transport my two children, who weigh 47 and 27 lbs, tho I have hauled them in a Chariot on occasion (usually just the little one but sometimes both).

Currently I ride a Trek 7100 and I love how light it is and how easily it moves. I used to ride a heavy mountain bike and hated it, and I don't want to go back to that feeling.

Anyway I would love feedback about the Mundo.

Bump! Just your own personal opinion is fine. I don't think I can test ride one before I decide to buy. Maybe I should have posted in the Utility forum?

Hi bikeymama,

I'm new to this whole forum business so please bear with me. The Yuba is a heavy bike, but I actually have an easier time riding it up hills than my MTB (Cannondale F400). I went on a library/ grocery run yesterday, and we live in Missouri, which has it's fair share of hills. On my return trip, I was easily carrying an additional 100 lbs. I'm 5'2" and weigh about 120lbs. I hope this helps. If you live near this area, you're more than welcome to take a spin on mine.

Thank you exmilitarymom! That feedback is very encouraging. You are probably in better shape than me, but I've got more weight to push down with I guess. So if you can do it, probably I can too, or I will be able to with some practice. It sounds like a fun bike!
