"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Downers Grove Criterium on television this week!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
They said September 5th on FoxSports Network, so keep an eye out for that! Great racing, with Jelly Belly, Navigator, and US Postal teams there, just to name a few!

KoffeeWebcor was there, too, and Chris Horner took 6th.
OT, look for Webcor (Chris Horner won last year, Charles Dionne the year before that) to go all out at the T-Mobile International in a couple of weeks. The Webcor ladies were on Fillmore St. last weekend doing hill repeats.
Yes I know. I was there.
The full results of that last race (Championships) are here:

Just too bad when Ventura fell in that last turn of the last lap. USPS was leading in that last lap, and Ventura was in the process of leading the pack the few laps up to the last lap. He was awesome that day.

USPS was trying to set Ventura up for the win. He was there man for the day and they were disappointed that he crashed because they felt that he could win.
Yeah- the last few laps, the whole US Postal team was up in the front working for Robbie, and Robbie was just booking around the last few laps in the front. The squad was doing a great job of keeping him up in the front. Then in that eighth turn, he just went down. For a few minutes, the announcers were asking the crowd to stay out of the way because they thought they were going to need an ambulance for Robbie. But then Robbie did get up and ride to the finish line, and it was like the whole crowd finally relaxed. It was a pretty tense few minutes.
Robbie was talking about having the full squad there to support him when I met him a few weeks ago- he was really excited at having a good squad of guys there to support his win, and he said (at that time) that he thought he had a good chance of winning.

Yes I know. I was there. I know you know. :) Just have to plug Webcor whenever I get a chance! It'd be nice to see the race but I don't think we'll get the telecast out here in the Bay Area.

What's the route? I may be in Westmont that day.
The route? It's already happened, but it's a loop course in Downers Grove...
Whoops, my bad. The 4th is what I remembered now that you've jogged my memory!
I'll be watching it, taping it, and seeing if I got to be on television!

I don't think it's Fox news Chicago. It's the Fox Sports channel on cable tv.
