"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - Las Vegas area racers - any weeknight racing/training rides?

I'll be there M-F next week for work. I don't normally bring the bike but since I'm there for the week I figured I'd bring it. Any weeknight training races or fast rides I should check out?

I'm originally from Vegas but moved away before I started racing. My LBS there always talked about some midweek practice crit in Summerlin somewhere. Call up McGhies Bike shop and ask them, very cool guys. If that's not going on they should be able to at least point you in the right direction for some fast group rides.

i was born and r aised in vegas, left in 1994. still visit family a couple of times a year. amazed by how much bigger the bike scene is these days and how much better the infrastructure is (lanes and paths) than back then. that new bike path loop around the lake and railroad pass and boulder city is really spectacular. the lake mead section is fit for serious training.


i rode viva bike vegas last year and found it to be a really well supported and organized ride, even if they ran out of food too early.

plan on doing the Mt Charleston HC this fall.

man it is really tough to find info about vegas racer training rides.

whats the deal with that?

i know theres racers in vegas, but i've spent hours scouring the web for regular rides and theres nothing.

and like even going through the USAC list of vegas clubs yields a bunch of broken links and websites that havent been updated in years.

what gives, vegas?

gonna be in LV over new years, btw

not lookin for ride partners necessarily but would love to jump in on a big group ride or 2 if there are any....
