So this may seem kind of a silly question, but with everything being proprietary these days I feel I need to ask... I was wondering if I would have a problem using the Wheelsmith nipple with DT swiss spokes? Thank you very much.

...dunno...
Can I use a Specialized 700 x 20c tube in a Vittoria Rubino Pro 700 x 20c tire?
Can I use Shimano 1/4 ball bearings to overhaul a Joytech rear hub with 1/4 ball bearings?
Can I use Suntour Superbe Pro pedals on a Nuovo Record crankset instead of Nuovo Record pedals?
...I'm stumped...needs details...

DT and Wheelsmith use the same threading specs. I prefer Wheelsmith alloy nipples to the DT ones so I've used them with DT spokes with no problem.

You may be off by 0.7 turn with the use of Wheelsmith nipples vs. DT. That's noise in my book. The Wheelsmith 2.0mm nipples have better surface finish, but I don't use them cause my DT Champion 2.0mm spokes come with nipples.
I am currenty having the inverse issue....having problems with DT nipples and Wheelsmith spokes.

they work. same threading standard. pros and cons of nipple design can be debated, but these debates aren't about the interface of the threads.
