Are FSA Pro compact chainrings compatible w/ Campy drivetrain?

Which model Campy compact crank? Campy used the standard 110 mm bolt circle BUT offsets one bolt a couple of mm on some of it's cranks so other maker's rings won't work. This can be overcome with a file but they won't fit directly.

Some model Campy compact cranks (Centaur and below, IIRC) used an unaltered 110 mm bolt circle so they will accept the FSA rings.

Thanks for the info, It's a '08 Campy Centaur.

I'd like to know the reason why you'd substitute inferior chainrings.

You really don't like FSA do you? :)

I've had good results with their bars, stems and headsets but, based on your (and several other's) reports I'd never use their cranks and bottom brackets.

No they won't fit. In addition to the one bolt having a slightly different BCD, the ring must be made for the one bolt to mount from the back side and the face of the ring must be be the proper thickness to mate with the crankarm surface.

Even higher level Campy rings won't fit a Centaur crank properly.
