Just a random email, from doing a search on Vitus bikes.
I was reading your page on the Vitus Road Bike, and have a question. I have two road bikes that I were given to me from someone who had to move. I am not familiar with road bikes and am a recreational mountain biker. I am looking to sell these bikes, but do not know where to even start or what price they even go for? Wondering if you have any idea? One is a Vitus 992 Aluminum Frame with all components except front wheel. The other is a Vitus 979 Carbon Kevlar complete bike. If you don't mind, what do these go for?

I used to have a Vitus 979 alu bike, early 80s model with middle-of-the-road components. I rode it until 2003, when I crashed and it broke. I once had an offer from someone to buy it for $400 for the complete bike in Tennessee, but the buyer changed her mind. At the time, the price seemed reasonable to me (I had called a bike shop friend who said it was reasonable). Hope that helps.
