hi all. i need help in determining the right bottom bracket for a weyless carbon crankset. i know they don't make this anymore but i do want to know what type of BB should I get. I'm setting up a Giant TCX to a SS. I have some pics of the crankset so hopefully I can get some help from you all. I went to my LBS and the mech. told me it was an ISIS BB but I don't think so. I think it's an octalink but I don't know if it's a V1 or V2. any help is greatly appreciated! thank you very much!

Take the crankset to a shop that stocks octalink and ISIS bbs and try them if convenient. I highly doubt it uses octalink.

Octa is derived from 8, so count the splines if it is 8 it's Octalink unless this is a BMX crank, if there are 10 it likely is ISIS.
If the mech told you an 8 spline BB is ISIS that tells you something about his knowledge of bikes and suggest you find another bike shop.

thanks for the sheldon link and i counted 8 splines so it's def. an Octalink...i can't believe the mech guy didn't know what he was talking about and the LBS is a known dealer around my area...guess i do need to find another bike shop then. thanks for all your help!
