Never seen one like this and I really don't know anything about Orbea...

I've only seen one or two bikes labeled as Orbea from the pre-carbon era, they looked ok but not spectacular. This one looks pretty nice with the internal cable routing and braze-on front derailleur mount, too bad there's no matching fork. I'd be very cautious if there are no identifying marks on the frame, panto, etc.

I'm a sucker for chrome frames, but the "handbuilt in the Pyrennes" stuff has me :rolleyes:'ing...

old spanish mark now co-opted by chinese makers of competent but homely alloy and CF frames

Definitely not worth $400 for an unknown Columbus steel. Pretty, yes. But you could do a lot better (say, a complete bike) than that.

The listing does not say it is Chrome Plated, if that is what you mean. I thought it was too when I first looked. If it is then there is something going on here;

Can this be just a freshly cleaned up bare frame? If that is the case then $400.00 is pretty steep. If there is something wrong with the chrome that I spotted in the picture then it again is much less valuable.

A nice chrome frame could make somone a really pretty bike though. Chrome forks are easy enough to get.

moving to valuations. Seems a little high to me, I'm no expert though. You could probably cover that flaw in the chrome fairly easily. I suspect it was painted except for the lugs
