Bicycle Mechanics - Broken Clutch

Heres the situation,

I bled all the old fluid out of the the lines going from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder, all those parts seem to be working correctly. when i squeeze the clutch in the slave piston moves wish I believe is supposed to push in the push rod and disengage the clucth. how ever the push rod doesnt seem to be moving, how much pressure is require to make that thing move? or does mine need repair? fluid was trying to come out the top of the master cylinder, but the clutch still appeared to be fully engaged.

If this guy had even bothered to look at a post or two before he registered, he would've seen that this is a bicycle forum!!
Hey, speedy-here's the deal-read your repair manual, and actually look at the d@mn thing first. It's fairly obvious that you don't pay attention to details.
BTW, convert it to a cable clutch-they are easier for mechanical neophytes to fix.

It either works or it doesn't - master cylinders are not serviceable.

Put it back together and see.

The clutch has a rather mysterious action - I can't see how it works when I take it apart, but it does.
