I have a bike with a Bontrager Sport seatpost. I can't get the seat angly to adjust. I took the seat off and it looks like their is a piece that should rotate but it appears to be fixed. Am I missing something obvious. My seat is slanted forward a little and I need to level it off.

Here is a picture of the stem

The piece in the middle of the sanwhich should be slotted where the clamp bolt goes through. It has to be pretty loose to rotate on a lot of seatposts

I took the whole thing off and couldn't get the slotted piece to rotate. Do you think it is just stuck in place and it needs a little whack to come loose?

Yup... grease it after you take it apart, it should have a light coat of grease on it anyways.

Thanks seely. I gave it a light tap with a hammer and it popped right loose.
