Hi, I am a 66 yr old fanatic runner who recently retired and decided to get a new bike (Trek FX 7.3) and get back on the roads. Well, actually I never got off the roads. I have been logging my running miles since 4/76. Current total:71,3xx miles. I have had my bike 10 days and have logged over 200 miles. A minor foot injury got me interested in getting back on a bike. Looking up in my old logs I couldn't believe I hadn't ridden since late in 1998. My old bike is a '93 Specialized Crossroads Cruise hybrid.
The new Trek is a real upgrade from my old bike. I still am a little stiff but getting use to riding. Longest ride so far 42 miles at an ez pace 12-13 mph.
I look forward to being a member. Remember: a body in motion tends to stay in motion. Nick :)
