Touring - Anyone bought from geartrade.com?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm planning on doing some overnights or maybe a long weekend or two this summer to get my feet wet w/ bicycle touring. I've got an old pup tent from when I was a kid which will serve my purposes for those quoick tours, but the idea of bike touring has me looking more seriously into camping gear I may want to eventually pick up.
I was tooling around the net on my lunch break and came across geartrade.com. They seem to have some really good deals on some very slightly used camping gear.
Has anyone here bought anything off the site? What's your experience been?

I've bought a few items from Geartrade.com, but I've only bought items offered by Backcountry.com. Each of the items I purchased were as described. Backcountry.com has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and it seems many of the items they sale on Geartrade are returned items that they cannot sell as new due to missing tags, some wear, etc. I don't know that I would be from any seller on Geartrade other than Backcountry. I've wondered whether Geartrade is owned by Backcountry.

It is owned by Backcountry, and you can get some great deals there. Although you should also check prices of whatever you're buying on Backcountry's outlet site, as I've found brand new items cheaper there than their (slightly) used counterparts on Geartrade.

Thanks. I'll add it to my bookmarks to surf through and keep an eye out for gear I might need/want to buy there then. I don't mind buying a tent that's been slept in once or twice before, e.g., if it saves me a lot of $$$. I was just glad to find it b/c it seems like a more permanent version of some of the offers available on steep and cheap and similar sites where it's really a crapshoot if anything you're interested in pops up.
Thanks again and happy cycling!

I've gotten some good deals on there.
Sometimes the prices and/or shipping are not that great, but if you keep an eye out you can find some great deals.

I bought a sleeping bag from them, no problems here. They seem reputable.
