Hello everyone, I'm Sam and new to the forum. I just recently bought a 1991 Schwinn 434 Aluminum frame with all components replaced. It has Schimano 600 rear cassette (please excuse my lack of knowledge on all the names...I'm still getting used to it all!), Schimano 105 crankset and clipless pedals, and Rolf Vector rims. It weighs in at about 20.5 lbs.
I bought the bike so I could participate in a triathlon in July, but have always wanted a road bike (just never had the money to buy a brand new one!!). So the triathlon forced me to buy a used bike and I'll never look back!!!
I was unsure about getting the clipless pedals and shoes, but I went out for my first ride with the pedals/shoes and I would HIGHLY recommend it!
I'm excited to be riding and know I'll be riding for many years to come!!
